You have to search a long time to find the optimal solution for tidying up your stable door — and you usually won't find it! All horse people know the problem. Horse rugs, horse coolers, gaiters and other accessories hang around untidily on chains, ropes or handrails. Dust, dirt and hay or straw from passing hay wagons mix with your riding accessories every day, making the whole stable look untidy. Or there is no storage option for your accessories at all and you have to carry everything from the locker to the box and back again every day. This is very annoying and costs you a lot of time. Not to mention your crammed lockers.

Sometimes the bags everyone knows are supposed to help — but mostly with moderate success. After a short time they lose their shape and are no longer dustproof. In addition, they look unsightly and break quickly after just a few weeks of use. Disadvantages that even the apparently low price cannot combat.

A product made by horse people for horse people — 30 years of experience in horse keeping

Since we own several horses ourselves, we know the problem all too well from our own experience. So we built the first BoxenBox® ourselves in 2017. It has proven itself from the beginning and has withstood rough stable conditions very well and without damage. Nothing rattles or wobbles; no parts are broken off or are no longer usable. We assume that it will last at least another 10 years or more. Work out for yourself how many bags you would use over such a period!

From the idea for the BoxenBox® to mass production

Shortly after we hung our first BoxenBox® on one of our horse's box door, we were approached by other owners. They wanted to know where we had bought it and everyone was a little disappointed when we told them we had made it ourselves. But that's how the idea of building more BoxenBox® was born. Initially for our own horses and then also for other riders in our stable.  

Advantages and features

Our BoxenBox® is the best solution for a tidier horse box. It is made of high quality 9 mm thick plywood — not from simple pine wood. This makes it very sturdy and long-lasting. Due to its long service life, the price-performance ratio is much better compared to other solutions. All items in daily use are always at hand, where you need them. You can simply hang up wet gaiters, bandages, or blankets on a handrail to dry. Your locker will also be tidier, as a lot fits into the BoxenBox®. You will always have clean accessories. Problems with mice, which sometimes like to make themselves comfortable in bags, will also be a thing of the past. The BoxenBox® is easy to keep clean with a wet cloth. Holes are drilled in the bottom to allow air to circulate — this is important if, for example, damp gaiters are stowed in them. In addition, sand that has built up over time can be swept out through these holes. The BoxenBox® can be attached to most box doors using the adjustable leather straps supplied. Alternatively, the BoxenBox® can simply be put on the floor. The shelves in its upper part are removable. 

Safety

The plywood has been impregnated with a food-safe glaze — so your horse is not at risk from nibbling or licking the BoxenBox®. The plywood is splinter-free. Should a horse kick and step into the BoxenBox®, of all places, it can pull its hoof out again without being dangerously injured by splinters.

Sustainability

The environment is becoming more and more important.

No plastic is used in the production of our BoxenBox®. It is made only of plywood, metal and leather and is therefore one hundred percent biodegradable. Also very important: our BoxenBox® is made in Germany. This eliminates the need for energy-intensive transport from distant countries.

What do the stable staff say?

Stable staff are also positive about the BoxenBox®, as hay wagons don't get stuck on them when they drive past. However, this often happens with bags. The manager and the owner of your riding facility will also be happy about the use of our BoxenBox®, as the stables look more professional and tidier.
